Company History

Gulf States Automation was established in the early 1990s, originally under another name, to fulfill a goal of starting a company to serve the building energy management and controls needs for commercial, industrial and institutional customers throughout the lower Alabama and Florida Panhandle Region that would meet the customers’ needs with integrity and reliability. As customers’ needs changed, buildings became more complex and the typical DDC systems were slow to advance with technology, GSA sought a new product that would again allow us to meet our customers’ needs.  In early 2005 GSA selected Automated Logic Corporation’s (ALC) WebCTRL family of products as the solution for meeting our customers’ needs.  Together with ALC, we have grown our customer base as well as our physical territory to serve our customers throughout the Gulf South region in the states of Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, and Mississippi.

With today’s extremely demanding and often complex BAS system requirements, GSA has positioned itself for delivery of innovative solutions involving DDC/BAS and other sophisticated strategies.  With factory-trained sales engineers, engineers, field specialists, and an industry trained management staff, GSA offers one of the most experienced control, building automation and energy management local contracting forces in the United States to  provide automation systems for building owners and operators who want to simplify building operations and maximize building uptime while simultaneously ensuring energy efficiency and maintaining total occupant/visitor comfort. 

Together with our staff and the Automated Logic products, GSA has earned a track record for meeting rigid customer demands for large, complex building control system solutions, quality design, and installation, on-time delivery and completion and superior post-installation service. We view every project as the foundation of a long and mutually beneficial relationship between GSA, The Project Team and the facility Owner/Operator.

Territory

As an authorized Systems and Service Provider for Automated Logic, Gulf States Automation, Inc. has offices in Pensacola, FL, Moss Point, MS, Hattiesburg, MS, Birmingham, AL and Slidell, LA.  We serve the Panhandle of Florida, Central and Southern Alabama including the cities of Auburn, Birmingham, Dothan, Gadsden, Mobile, Montgomery, and Tuscaloosa. Our Mississippi offices serve Central and Southern Mississippi including the cities of Biloxi, Gulfport, Hattiesburg, Jackson, Kosciusko, Meridian, Natchez, and Vicksburg. Our Louisiana office services the entire State of Louisiana from New Orleans to Shreveport and Monroe to Lafayette.
